It’s hard taking your first steps out into the world. It’s kind of like your first time off the high dive. You’re too terrified to move, so your swim instructor has to shove you off the diving board. All you can really do on the way down is cross your fingers and scream. But half the battle is knowing – knowing to point your toes to avoid one seriously painful belly flop. To this end, we meet every Sunday evening at 6pm at a leader’s house to expand our knowing. We watch and discuss the sermon from that morning, and after, we hang out – play some games, eat their food – and get to know each other a bit better. And while we can’t avoid every belly flop life throws at us, it’s nice to know we have friends willing to fish us out of the pool before we drown. So, check us out on Facebook at El Camino College Group, join us Sunday nights, and for our other activities, and learn to point your toes.
