Judy was raised in Tucson and came to know Jesus as Lord and Savior at nine years of age. When she was in high school, a friend invited her to attend First Baptist Church and there she turned her life over to Him.
She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1968 and began her teaching career in San Manuel AZ. It was there that she met her husband and they were married in 1975. They had two daughters: Amber Hagler Russell and Karissa Hagler. Both daughters know and love our Lord and Savior. Amber attends ECBC and is married to Jon Russell.
Their family visited El Camino while on vacation in the summer of 1981. As they left, her husband said “I want to raise our kids in this church.” She replied, “But we don’t live here.” So they bought a house near the church and moved to Tucson. They started attending in September of 1981 while coming in to spend weekends at their house, then became members in December of 1983 when they moved here permanently.
Judy's husband, Ollie Hagler, passed away in 2003. She retired in 2008 and now she is enjoying her “job” as Grandma to Ollie and Franklin Russell.
She is serving her fourth term as a deaconess. She has been caring coordinator, “choir mom”, camp counselor, AWANA helper, and nursery worker.
Nahum 1:7 (NKJV): "The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble;
And He knows those who trust in Him."
