Barbara Lunsford was born in the family country home in southwest Pennsylvania and raised in a Christian home. They moved to Tucson in 1947 and began attending First Baptist Church where her relationship with the Lord began to grow. She was married in 1957 to Jay. The Lord blessed them with two children, who are both serving in the Lord’s ministry today, and six grandchildren.

Barbara is a charter member of El Camino serving Him in many avenues including being a Bible Study leader and now serving a second time as a deaconess. Upon her husband's death the Lord gave her hope through one of her favorite verses in Jeremiah. She knows that He listens to her when she seeks Him with all of her heart.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) " 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' "
