Dena was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado and raised in a Christian home. I accepted Christ at an early age, but realized the need for a more serious relationship as I matured. I met Jim, while he was a cadet at the U.S.Air Force Academy and we were married the day after he graduated in 1974. We spent 20 years moving around the world in the Air Force and our last assignment brought us to DMAFB here in Tucson, where we have stayed. We have four grown children, one son in-law and one daughter in-law, along with one spectacular grandson. We have attended ECBC for the past 19 years and I have served in various capacities. One of my favorite verses and goals in life is Hebrews 12:1. My desire is to remain faithful in my earthly calling until the day, I am joined among “the great cloud of witnesses.”

Hebrews 12:1 (NIV): “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
