
Ronald L. Rushing is El Camino's Senior Teaching Pastor. He grew up in Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas. He and his wife Sharlynn, a native of Nebraska and registered nurse, have three adult children who also reside in Tucson. Ron holds a Doctorate of Theology in Biblical Exposition and a Masters of Theology in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary. He has served in full time ministry since 1981. He has been a pastor, professor at the graduate and undergraduate levels, administrator, and well traveled conference speaker. He has had many short term mission's trips including ones to Nigeria, Liberia, Russia, Belarus, Korea, the Bahamas, and Uganda. Ron has a heart for preaching the Word, serving others, sharing the gospel, and helping people become disciples of Jesus Christ.
Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV): "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
